Directions: Read the verses and then answer the questions:
Day one: Jos 1:10-11, Deut 1:15, 1 Tim 3:1, 1 Pet 5:2, Eph 5:22-23, 1 Cor 11:3, Luke 7:7-9. What were the qualifications of the officers Joshua called upon? What was the role they had in the host of Israel? How does this compare to an elder's role in the church? How does a husband's and father's role compare? Why is the order of leadership in the home important? Who caused Jesus to marvel at his understanding of faith and authority?
Day 2: Jos 1:12-15, 2 Tim 4:2, Rom 15:1-5, Gal 5:13, Matt 20:28, Phil 2:3-8. Why did Joshua address specific tribes? Why was it important for Joshua to hold them to the standard of an authority higher than
