The Blessed Truth of Forgiveness

Romans 4 begins with Old Testament passages concerning Abraham and David. The central truth of each text is imputation. Paul declared David's forgiveness came by the non-imputation of sin. God accounted David's sin to Christ, discharging it from David's account. Three times Paul used the word "blessed" to describe David. All God's forgiven ones are likewise blessed.
