Jesus asks the awkward questions. In this text he raises a fundamental question. It is not about wealth or health, but about the soul. It is, in fact, the ultimate question comparing the forgiveness of sin and bodily health. Yet this is a question that is given an answer. Which is it easier to do: forgive sins or heal the paralytic? The Bible gives the answer.
