The Comfort that Comes to Those that Mourn

Like the first beatitude this one also flies in the face of the world's way of thinking. Both the first and the second beatitudes, however, share something in common. Both call for honesty before God. And if we're honest before God we'll acknowledge that we are completely dependent on Him and there is plenty over which we can and should mourn when we consider how far we've fallen. In this study we look at the nature of the mourning that Christ blesses; the reasons for the such mourning; and the grounds for our comfort.
