Taken up in a Cloud!

Forty days after his resurrection from the dead Jesus was taken up in a cloud and received into heaven. The ascension is essential to our salvation. He enters into heaven as our Great High Priest. He fulfills in his own person, his incarnate body both the atoning sacrifice for the sins of his people and his continual intercession for his own. Read Leviticus 16 and then consider Jesus death, burial, resurrection and then his ascension into heaven and he shall appear again from heaven in the cloud of great glory and receive us in our resurrected glorified bodies like his! Christ has died, Christ was buried, Christ arose in accordance with Scripture and Christ ascended and Christ shall come again for who believe in Him.
