An Inadvertent Invitation

Do good… but let another man praise you and what you've done, not yourself.

You exalt your ways above all others — one of them or maybe all of them will set out to prove you wrong.

Be wise and don't inadvertently invite unnecessary trouble in your life.

You toot your own horn, some people will notice. Toot your own horn more often than not, people will hear you but will rarely pay you much attention. Toot your own horn over and over again... somebody is going to accept you invitation, smash your high horn and shut you up.

There's nothing wrong with doing good or great works... it's the right thing to do. So, do good work... be good at what you do. Give others something commendable and praise worthy to work with, but let somebody else toot your horn... it will go much farther, last a lot longer and carrie more weight, than when you toot your own. It's just not the right thing to do, it's the noble and nice thing to do.
