The greatest “comfort and joy” that Paul had was to know that under the leadership of Philemon, the church exemplified the “communication of the faith” to one-another. A focus on the finished work of Christ will ultimately lead a believer to minister to, and for, others. This is a reflection of the love of Jesus Christ displayed to us.
