God's Convocation

If you have ever acted in a play or sung in a choir you know the value of a full dress rehearsal. Things go much better on opening night if the entire program is rehearsed beforehand in full. In Psalm 50, we see that God schedules a regular "dress rehearsal" for His people—a dress rehearsal in anticipation of a most important public appearance for all people, namely, the Judgment Day. If you have any doubts regarding the importance of attending God's worship regularly, this psalm will give you both encouragement and warning.
