All Christians Are Pentecostal

We celebrate the Incarnation at Christmas time and we should. We celebrate the Resurrection at Easter and we should. Since we are a fiercely Protestant church, we celebrate Reformation Sunday at Halloween time. Yet many churches don’t celebrate the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, and we most certainly should.

This isn’t supposed to be about some side debate about some personal experience that some Christians supposedly have and some other Christians supposedly don’t. This Pentecost was about something that makes us all Christians, something all Christians have, or they aren’t Christians at all.
