I know whom I have believed

Telos: To encourage the congregation and especially those who serve the Lord to press on, enduring suffering if need be by faith believing that the Lord will vindicate in the end.

1. Holy service is a calling, not merely a choice.
2. Ordinarily, the servants of the Lord can expect suffering.
3. Paul was not ashamed to suffer for Christ, neither should we.
4. Everyone who knows whom he believes can serve with blessed hope.
