Our Qualified High Priest

There were certain qualifications that were required of priests under the Old Covenant. But all of these priests were mere shadows in comparison to Jesus the true fulfillment of the priesthood. All modern priests are illegitimate in nature. For there is only one mediator between God and man and it is Christ. Jesus is both the priest who offers the only sufficient sacrifice. And He Himself was this sacrifice. All things are summed up in Him and His redemptive work.
