Diligent Disciples - Lesson 7 - Add to Self-Control Patience. We often hear that we should not ever ask God for patience because then we will be faced with trials and tribulations. The truth is, we are already faced with trials and tribulations and so we NEED patience! What is patience? Where does it come from? What happens when we walk in a measure of victory and then learn that it is often too easy to go from win to give in, from victory to defeat? The joy of walking in victory can be lost when we wear out, when we wear down, or when it wears off. How then do we persevere in self-control and persist in walking in the Spirit?
