The Man Who Started Out Well, But Finished Badly

136
  1. KING ASA, son King Abijah, grandson of Rehoboam, and great grandson of King Solomon.
STARTED OUT WELL when he became king. This is because King Asa walked with God.
    1Peter 5:7; Matt. 21:22; Psalm 50:15.

  2. KING ASA STOPPED RELYING ON THE LORD
But years later, when faced with a challenge from Baasha, king of Israel, King Asa did not stop to pray. King Asa did not cry out to God for help.
    Matt. 14:31; II Chron. 16:1-3.

  3. KING ASA FINISHED BADLY
God allowed this test to King Asa.
    Proverbs 21:1; Proverbs 28:26; Hebrews 12:6.

'And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.' Galatians 6:9.
