Acts 15:1-12

After Paul's succesful first missionary journey and a joyful report made to the Antioch Baptist Church, the Nicolaitans and Legalists come to Antioch in order to stir up trouble.

These predecessors of the modern denominational system brought the two-fold heresy found in Romanism, Orthodoxy and Protestantism:

1. Hierarchical unbiblical outside influence over local churches.

2. Works-based message of salvation and sanctification.

Paul, Barnabas and Peter will successfully defend the Biblical Gospel of grace and stand in opposition to the corruption and subjection of the local church by these Pharisees who confess Christ.
