The Basics of the Gospel

The content of the Gospel from God necessarily includes the facts that all mankind are sinners and in need of a Savior, that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all who died, was buried, and was raised from the dead. The holiness and justice of God demand the payment of sin and the love of God was demonstrated by God Himself making the payment for the sin of all. Genuine saving faith believes the truth facts of the Gospel. The application of the provision of the salvation God has provided by the death of Jesus Christ is by means of faith alone in Christ alone. Truth about Jesus Christ is either received or rejected in its entirety. There is no middle ground, no neutrality, no selectively believing the facts God has revealed and preserved. Salvation is a gift that is received as all or nothing.
