What Persecuted Christians Need to Know

Throughout history and in all regions of the world, Christians have suffered for their faith. Yes, even at FBC we have Christians who encounter hostility and abuse as a result of their faith. Are you persecuted for being a Christian? Do you expect to be persecuted as a Christian in America? How do you encourage other believers who are suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ? I am praying that we as a church are prepared to stand for Christ no matter what. I am praying that 1 Peter 1:1-12 will give us great motivation to live in light of the gospel no matter what persecution may ensue. And I am praying that we will gladly give our lives to proclaim the good news of Christ, and by doing so, follow in the footsteps of Jesus, Peter, Paul, and every other martyr who has given their life for the gospel.
