The Father's Love for Prodigals:

1 – The young son spurned and rejected the father's love by departing from him to fulfill his sinful desires (vv 11-13)

2 – God's love was manifested towards the young son by causing him to be impoverished (vv 14-16)

3 – Memories of the father's love and provision for his servants prompted the son to repentance (vv 17-19)

4 – The father's love was manifested by his readiness to receive, pardon and accept the penitent son (vv 20-24a)
