The Perfect Plan of Salvation

As we come to Genesis 17, we are reminded that Abram and Sarai were fixed upon having that child that would help them push along the promises of God. But now Moses allows the reader to see that the God of the Universe had a different focus. The Lord was working on purifying His children through the true Son of the promise: the Lord Jesus Christ. Here, in Genesis 17, we should see that the Covenant of Grace is the means by which our God Almighty brings His children into an estate of purity and thus reconciles them to Himself.
