After Moses reiterates the Ten Commandments, coupling it with the statutes and the judgments that Israel was to obey; he reminds them that they are under very specific Covenant obligations which God had sworn to enforce either through blessing or cursing depending upon the actions of Israel.

Moses now calls Israel to the ‘Shema’ –to hear the Commands of the Lord with careful understanding so that they may know how to apply them to every area of life even when it is difficult to do so.

The sermon examines the Biblical principle of the centrality of education for the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom.
