A Bloody Stump In The Mail? Another warm and fuzzy, seeker sensitive sermon

If you've heard the last few sermons, then you'll know by the title, we're still in Judges 19 - 21. For those who are new to our pastor sermons, I'll try to give you a brief summation. We're trying to figure out what Jesus/God is telling us about Himself in this very real and actual story about a woman who has something horrible done to her. Then her husband cuts her to pieces and sends the parts off to all 12 tribes in the mail, if you will, and when they see it the evil of what was done makes them want to go to war against the Benjamites who let the sons of Belial do this heinous and evil thing. OK, why is this important to us? Because Jesus himself tells us to study the Old Testament, 'search the scriptures' because it teaches us about Himself and we find that it teaches us about what He's going to do as well. This passage, along with others that pastor ties together here, is actually warning us about the End Times and it gives us some great insight into this mess we find ourselves in today and what to look out for in the very near future.
To us here at Cliffside, this is wonderful preaching. We share it with you in the hopes that you will gain wisdom and understanding from God's Word.
One of Pastor Chronister's goals in all his lectures, is to help us to find Christ in the Old Testament. And one of our hopes for you is that by listening to pastor teach you'll begin to see just how important Jesus' command to 'search the scriptures' actually is.
So, let's open our Textbook and press play. And as always, thanks for listening.
