The Pool of Prayer

466

Sometimes, an idea crystallizes into a form that can be a catalyst for real growth because it is simple, realistic, interesting, and powerful.

What if I told you that there is a simple way to become closer to God, more intimate in your relationship with Christ, and used in a mighty way by the Holy Spirit? What if there was a way that we could show visitors who come here, people who know us, and the others that we may connect with that there really is something to this Christian life, that a church can actually be a healing place, and it isn’t simply a bunch of people acting holier than thou and wearing masks and being as bitter as everyone else? What if I told you there was something tangible, practical, that we all could participate in where we could see the Golden Rule in action every week, every day, with every person in the church?

Today we will not be preaching a sermon that will be expounding a text, and not bringing a topical message either. Today we will focus almost entirely upon application, as a conclusion to our last three sermons which focused on the commands of Christ (Matthew 22:35-40).

With this message today we will be applying all of this in a very specific way. We will not be exhorting as much as we will be equipping you, and all peoples and churches who will follow this plan, with a
