Sermon Preparation 17, Setting Context

159 ( 129 | 30 )

Setting context for the sermon text within your sermon is part of the process of explanation. However, we do not need to spend as much time setting context as we often suppose. The time you spend on context also depends upon the text itself, some require more some require less. I give three examples of how I handle the context for Hebrews 7:1-3, Mark 8:22-26, and Mark 5:2-20.
