A. God's ultimate purpose in all salvation is restoration of His image
B. God's ultimate purpose and believer's sole desire fall together: Ps. 17:15
CLOSING APPEALS
A. God's sovereign grace is mankind's only hope
no hope for anyone dead in sin and trespasses apart from God
yet there is hope for anyone in such a state because of God's grace
B. God's revelation of sovereign grace is to encourage us to seek His grace
don't wrestle with God's sovereign grace to your destruction
rather seek God's sovereign grace for your salvation
a. seek Him in His appointed ways contrary to what you feel like
b. place yourself where His Spirit is bound to be at work
c. cut out those things He has plainly told you to cut out
d. associate yourself with them who possess the Spirit of God (1C. 15:33)
e. continue diligently to use the means He has promised to bless
