The Necessity of Self-Examination

A vital question for us to consider: do we know anything of the power of God in our lives? Do we know Christ?

1. It is of the utmost importance for Christians to engage in careful scrutiny of their state.
2. The importance of self-examination is directly related to its consequences.
   Application: 1. Self-judging is the proper means to stop us making rash judgements about others. 2 Characteristics of self-judging: humility and soberness. 3. The world, the flesh, and Satan are opposed to self-examination.
