Christ's Kingdom and Fasting

In Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, He repeatedly refers to God as our Father. What kind of Father is He? He is One Who notices, Who cares, and Who loves to graciously reward His children. This is why we come to Him in prayer and seek Him even with fasting.
