"I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him" (Hosea 14:4).
We first look at verse one and see the prayer of repentance. The prayer is, "take away all iniquity." Next we see the healing of a disease. We first describe the disease and then the healer. Finally we see the blessing of love. What marvelous love! The people had sinned greatly, they had wandered afar, but God says "I will love them free." Nothing in them to attract His love, but He loved according to His grace.
