Field of grace

23

Ruth didn't deserve one bit of the grace that Boaz was offering to her here. She was an outsider, not family, nor even an employee, and she had no merit to her name. There was no obligation on the part of Boaz to offer what he did, all he legally had to do was let her try to find any food that had fallen onto the ground. Yet somehow she found grace in his eyes there in his field. This is a beautiful picture of God's grace which none of us deserve either. Yet He extended this grace to us before we were saved and continues to extend to us even after we are saved in spite of our sins. There in His field of grace we can gather and receive. He is the great guardian who will watch over us. When we enter His grace there is much gain to be had, some here and most in Heaven some day.
