Converted

What is the human response to the divine call? When the Lord brings the Word of God effectually to bear by his Spirit, bringing life, what is the heart's response? We can speak of it as conversion, as repenting and believing, turning from sin to God in Christ. Acts 3:19 gives us Peter's exhortation to his hearers to change their mind and their direction, to repent of their sin and to put their faith in Christ. It is the pattern of conversion which we see woven throughout the whole New Testament, bringing the blessings of salvation into the experience of God's chosen ones.
