Verse eight begins with the relative pronoun, "Wherein". It is a reference to "grace" in the previous verse. It is followed by the verb "abounded" meaning to lavish upon. God lavished His grace upon those He has "chosen" (V4) and "predestined" (V5). This lengthy doxology (V3-14) in our text praises God for His wisdom and His will.
