God Is As He Was

Remember that God is as He was and be comforted.

✓I had disturbing questions (7–9)
•My Subsequent Comfort (10–20)
✓I resolved to remember God's ways (10–12)
✓I realized that God is still as He ever was (13, 14)
✓I rejoice in His redeeming work, exodus from Egypt (15–20)
Christians ought to embrace all this in Psalm 77, but there is more! Christ "spoke of His decease [departure, "exodus"] which He was about to accomplish in Jerusalem" (Luke 9.31). This "exodus" is probably meant to include His resurrection, ascension, glorification, and the salvation that this epic event secures for all in Christ! He who accomplished it is "Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Heb 13.8), our unchangeable God and Savior!
