Prayer for the Apostles in the Lord's Prayer (Part II)

Jesus prays that as He returns to glory, God the Father would keep these eleven men unto glorification. He prays that as they are in the world, they be not like the world, and that they would be growing in holiness while building His church. He prayed this in the listening of these eleven, so they would be filled with His joy, knowing of their safety in God the Father, through God the Son. Hearing this prayer had to have been a great encouragement to the eleven as they lived out their calling. It ought be a great comfort to us as well, as we know Jesus always lives to intercede for us as we live out our calling.
