To Be Faithful

We have a jealous God who is a consuming fire and who does not change, thus His dealings with different nations, including Israel and Judah, is instructive to us today. We are not very different from the mindset of those nations in the sense that we also think that God would never judge our sophisticated culture and religious practices because we presume that we are a sweet smelling savor in His nostrils. Such views are mistaken, nevertheless, Scripture also encourages us through the prayers of Abraham with respect to Sodom and Gomorrah.
