Unplugging from Sexual Sin

It has been suggested that the average western person encounters 14 000 sexual suggestions per day, whether through images, movies, adverts, music, dialogue, printed matter, or other media. During the time in which Paul wrote, sexual sin was presupposed, along with the miseries associated with it. Just as we may strugggle with how to unplug from a life of sexual sin, so also the Ephesians may have taken Paul's words with incredulity. What counsel does he give them? What counsel would he give us? His counsel is found in three words: separation, demonstration, and illumination.
