Depression and the Believer Part 1

1,493

After Elijah's great victory on Mt. Carmel and what had to be one of the high points of his life, he was brought to what was probably the lowest point of his life by his reaction to the threat he received from Jezebel. After fleeing deep into the wilderness we find him by himself content to sleep the time away. this is certainly an evidence of depression and dismay over how his life has gone in a direction he did not expect or anticipate. Scripture has much to say about our mental state and how easily we can be shaken and depressed by the things we encounter as we fun the race that our heavenly Father has set before us. This is a study of what the Word has to say on this important subject.
