These lectures are based on a twelve-part series on The Westminster Confession of Faith as it pertains to Article 23, “Of The Civil Magistrate”.

In these lectures, Pastor Paul McDade sets forth his thesis on the consequence of the rejection of God's truth as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, and the attempt to replace it with human autonomous reasoning, the judgment realized by God in history through to our present day, and its implications upon the institutions of the family, the church and the civil government.

Pastor McDade gives a brief survey of important historical events from the fall of Adam to the early days of the United States and demonstrates from the Holy Scriptures that there are only two competing worldviews in all of history, that of the fallen autonomous human reasoning over and against a regenerated mind and heart submitted to God's law in all matters of life.

These lectures are uncut and unedited and originate from tape recordings that were recorded before the MP3 technology was available.

However, the content of these recordings are refreshing and it is our hope and prayer that all men of God would take heed and be blessed from this series.
