2 Contentment in Marriage

Has God designed marriage to make us happy? Yes (And Pandora's box has been opened.)

How has God designed marriage? 5 stages/parts:

1. The Wow Factor
2. Minimizing Interference
3. The Glue
4. Going the same Direction
5. Intimacy

But God did not design marriage for the sake of marriage. God designed the covenant marriage to be a picture of His covenant of grace.

Marriage is to be a demosntration of the gospel.

Therefore, Marriage is indeed designed to make us happy . . . In Christ. Only in Christ do our souls find the ultimate satisfaction that marriage partially fills.

At the end of this sermon I spend a little time contemplating divorce and why God hates it.
