Refusal and Rejection

The children of Israel reached a critical moment at Kadesh-Barnea. Would they trust the Lord to lead them into the land of promise, or would they look back toward Egypt? Their rebellion against the Lord's command brought upon them lasting shame and anguish. Not one person above the age of 20 would live to see Canaan except for Joshua and Caleb. Yet the children of the doomed would see the promised land, and that was to be a signal of God's overwhelming mercy.
