To Thyatira

In this passage Jesus addresses the church at Thyatira. This church is commended for its' love, faith, service and patient endurance. Yet will all these positive characteristics, the church is condemned for tolerating a woman in the church who teaches and seduces people to practice sexual immorality and eat food sacrificed to idols. She refuses to repent and is doomed to severe judgment. Her followers are also heading for judgment unless they repent of her works. Those who do not follow the teaching of this woman are encouraged to just hold fast to what they have until Jesus comes.
