He Was a Man of Sorrows and Acquainted With Grief

Never has anyone ever endured the hatred and anger and malice and contradiction of sinners against their persons like Jesus personally in His life. Understand that the sins and offences for which He suffered were not His own, and yet, He bore them and died willingly for them because He loved those sinners which committed them. He loved His enemies; that is why He suffered for their sins. Understand therefore, Christian, that your sins were His tears, His griefs, His sorrows; for you who were His enemies!
