The Power of the Tongue in Christ's Body

Every word corrupting from your mouth you MUST NOT let come out. Just a little bit of corrupting talk may corrupt much. And so we must put off things like gossip and slander. Not only that, but we are to put on speech that edifies. If anything good towards building up of the need you MUST let come out of your mouth. Thus, if we have anything good to say, we must intentionally say it. Let us speak scripture to one another and memorize God's Word so that with it we may build each other up.

Our greatest motivation is this: that we do not grieve the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. Hurtful words are hurtful to God. He loves people. Let us therefore not attack others that the Holy Spirit loves.
