The Day of Small Things

"For who has despised the day of small things..." These people doubted whether they could truly count on the favor of God due to their own sin and the sin of their fathers. We, too, have come out of captivity, out of Babylon. The unchangeable God has called us and given us His promises. The Word of God does not guarantee immediate victory but God's promises are sure. We must learn to trust and press on. We will see God's power at work if we are obedient. Our Lord equips us for any work He gives us to do. Faith is the key and we are challenged to be doing for Christ.
