Christ's Appointment of His Apostles

1 - Prior to appointing His apostles, Christ spent a prolonged period of time in prayer to the Father (v 12)

2 - Christ chose His apostles; they did not choose Him (v 13)

3 - Christ chose ordinary men to be His apostles (vv 14-16)

4 - One man whom Christ chose to be an apostle was unconverted and proved to be a traitor (v 16b)
