Socialism: Clear & Present Danger

With passage of health care "reform," greater government control of banking and industry, and ever increasing control of the private economy, concern is growing that socialism is pushing its tentacles even further into American life.

Two new resources from Coral Ridge Ministries, the DVD Socialism: A Clear and Present Danger, which airs May 16 and 23 nationwide on The Coral Ridge Hour, and the book, Ten Truths About Socialism, look at this pressing issue. The DVD considers whether socialism is the Bible's prescription for the underprivileged and assesses socialism's track record in Venezuela, Cuba, and elsewhere.

My guest on the first part of the program today will be Dr. Jerry Newcombe, the host and senior producer for The Coral Ridge Hour, the television outreach of the late Dr. D. James Kennedy, the senior pastor of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church for 48 years, until his death in 2007.
