Parental Encouragement

In this passage, Paul, is reminding the believers of what they already knew. Paul wanted the believers at Thessalonica to follow him as he followed Christ. As Christians, our lives are invested in service. God has entrusted us with the gospel and we need to make sure we treat it well. We need to get courage from God in order to share the good news. People can be fooled but God is never fooled. God tests the heart and knows what is going on in the inside. We should not live our lives trying to please everyone else. Parents are to be gentle, encouraging, and a comfort to their children. The Bible is God's word and if you believe it, it will work in you.
