036 I'm Just Not Good Enough!

Towering above many Christians is the legacy of Christians whom God has powerfully used. We could think of Hudson Taylor or Charles Spurgeon. In comparison, you may become overwhelmed today as a Christian, by your sense of smallness and insignificance among billions of people. You may feel you are just not good enough.

Faithful came to that point where he realised that not only had he not achieved anything noteworthy, but he was conscious of personal sin. Guilt robbed him of a confident Christian walk. The tension would not let up. His assailant, Moses, doesn't know how to show mercy, and the truth of his accusations ring so true.

For you, as it was for Faithful, there is wonderful relief from this "I'm Just Not Good Enough!" syndrome. For a start, it is true! You certainly are not good enough. Neither am I! But praise God, He has a way of rescuing you out of your misery that, if left, would drag you to the depths of despair.
