Emperor Justinian

112 ( 80 | 32 )

Gene covers the rise and rule of Emperor Justinian. Justinian was able to successfully reconquer most of the original Roman Empire. But in the sixth century the Bubonic plague sweeps through the empire.

Another significant contribution of Justinian was the laws he created that implemented protections for women, known as the Justinian code. Justinian also built the Hagia Sophia in Constantinople.
