Churches are increasingly welcoming “gays” and encouraging them to come as they are to church and just “hang out with us.” Do we want them to be comfortable? Does Jesus want them to be comfortable? Does Jesus want any of us to be comfortable? Or does Jesus want us to mourn? Does Jesus want poverty of spirit? There is something very wrong with much of the evangelical church today, but what is it?
