Remarkably and miraculously, God led Philip, one of the first deacons, to the path of the Ethiopian Eunuch. He was most likely a Jewish proselyte who had been to Jerusalem for worship and was returning home. Providentially, he read from Isaiah 53. Filled with the Spirit, Philip preached the sovereign gospel of Christ.
