Now we're back into the special sermons Pastor Chronister preached just last month. This one is mostly on judges 19 - 21 where we have a priest and his wife staying the night in a town called Gibeah which belongs to the tribe of Benjamin. There the wife has something extremely bad done to her. She dies as a result and her husband cuts the limbs of her dead body into 12 pieces and has them sent to the 12 tribes. Now, how's that for a seeker sensitive passage to preach from?
Pastor starts out comparing Saul, the Benjamite king who cuts Agag to pieces, with this woman being cut up, and then with Christ with his sword in Revelation and then gives you a list of passages to get you started in your study... Have I confused you yet? OK. Just suffice to say that our dutiful pastor does a wonderful job of giving all you wonderful students of Scripture out there a great challenge and the wherewithal to study further. And I believe that all of you that do that are well on your way to gleaning some of the wisdom God has placed in His Word. As pastor says in this sermon, Why does God want you to go around collecting all the pieces and putting them together? Because He doesn't want you to be stupid. Pastor asks this... Do you want to know, or do you want to feel? Pastor helps you put it all together and makes all this wonderful stuff make sence and come to life. So if you're a beginning studant of Scripture just keep listening. You'll get it.
This is a great sermon for all you people who are weird like us or might want to be some day. So let's get started. Open your Textbook and press play.
