The Pastor has to say things that are very difficult for people to hear. He has to say them whether people are receptive or as cold as ice. His job is to tell the truth which is more often than not inflammatory to those who are half-hearted, double minded and lukewarm. The Churches in our day need to have a shock treatment and if they will not listen to the reproof and rebuke of the Lord from His Word something far worse will have to happen to awaken them from carnal sleep. God is not satisfied with those who shrink back {Hebrews 10:38-39) and will spare no means in disciplining his rebellious, self sufficient and complacent children who let the teachings of men scratch their itchy ears at the expense of their real prosperity in time and their reward in eternity where some will step forward wih confidence while others will shink back in shame (1 John 2:27-28). Today's megatrend is not legalism but antinomianism among those in the so-called 'doctinal movement' where their teachers by their great swelling words turn the Grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into licentiousness and say no to him with respect to Holiness. These indulge the flesh and lead a band of sensual believers into ruin. Their Churches are no different than the other orgnizations found in any town where drinking, drugs, infidelity, divorce and broken lives abound. These are told that all they must do is attend multiple Church Services each week, read certain books and listen to the Pastor's Messages over and over and they will be blessed. In many cases they are discouraged from reading their Bible since without the interpretation based on exegesis they can't understand it anyway. Don't buy it
